www.365phototrax.com is the name of the game :).
The Fedex tracking number says that the shipment arrives Tuesday April 13th so I will need a few days to get up to speed with the camera and then the fun begins.

New Camera (update from last blog)
Well, it has been awhile since the last post. I am not the greatest blogger in the world, that is a fact.
So for a quick update from the last post: That camera that I said I wanted is on the way.
Two lens (75-300mm and a 18-55mm), a speed light flash, a case and all the other stuff in the picture. I found it on ebay and decided to pull the trigger. I started my photo life 14 years ago in the Montana Air National Guard and I am ready to start again. In addition to still images this little piece of tech also does HD video. I have been wanting to try out this 365 day photo blog. I want to take at least 1 photo per day and then post it on a blog. I don't think that I will be using this blog for this, so I will keep you updated as soon as the new blog is created.
Also in the last blog was a news story about a new dog. Just days after posting that news I gave her back to her owner. Her and Bella were not getting along all that well and she was just too much for Bella and I right now. So I am back to just one dog.
Thats it. Keep checking back for the new blog link (or subscribe to the RSS feed)

Photo(s) of the Day and Abbi
Keeping with the tradition of my short wordless blog entries I wanted to share a photo from this morning. It was a typical sunny and chilly Bozeman morning and my fence posts looked photogenic in the frost. I only have a simple point and shot so this is not that amazing of a photo. Someday I dream of getting a real SLR camera(see image below my picture if you really want to buy me something ;) ). I also forgot to mention that there is a second Golden in my life. I am taking care of her for 9 months while her owner goes through Basic Training and Tech School for the Montana Air National Guard. Her name is Abbi and she is 8. Bella and her get along great. I am wondering how Bella will react when it is time for Abbi to return to Missoula.

What Tech is intriguing to me this week.
Well this has been a pretty exciting month if you are into Tech. It started with Google announcing their newest Android phone, the CES (Consumer Electronics Show), the Detroit Auto Show (cars are Tech too), and then Apple introduced their next creation that they think will change the world. The iPad.
(see borrowed image from apple).

I am not sure what I think about this iPad creation. First off the name is horrible. I just saw a Mad TV skit that came out a few years ago joking about this.
It is probably a great product, but in the changing consumer landscape it fits into the "want" category rather than the "need" category. With the "Great Recession" still on everyones mind (especially if you are one of those that does not have a job) consumers are thinking a bit harder about their purchases. This new devise just does not do it for me to justify it. I have a laptop when I need to do something computer intensive and I have a phone that allows me to do things on the go (including browser the internet with a great browser). It will be purchased and won't be a flop like the Apple TV or the Apple Cube. I can see photographers using this in the field (to bad they left out the SD card slot) just to name one of many uses. But again why not just use your nice light weight laptop. It is not that much bigger and is multitudes of times more powerful and useful. Time will only tell and one most note that the first Iphone was not amazing compared to the latest smart phones. There will most definitely be an iPAD 2.0. You have to start somewhere right?

Cleaned up my blog :)
So how about a blog entry about my blog entities. I discovered that there is a setting in blogger that lets you choose between the "new editor" and the "old editor". I had been using the "old editor" this whole time. I am a pretty heavy Tech blog reader and my favorite is Engadget. One feature that I like about Engadget is that you can easily skim through their post with out having to scroll through long posts to get to the next post.
Case in point would be the Android App post that I put up. I think my sister missed the Coffee table post below it because the App post was so long. Well now there is a much smaller post and a jump link if you really want to read more. This should clean things up a bit.

My Tracks
So I went cross country skiing up hyalite today and tried out the My Tracks app on the phone for the first time. I left the camera at home sorry ( I will explain why sometime in the future if I am asked) :) I am keeping this post to my normal shortness. I just wanted to share the map.
